Leslie Wilkin
MSW RSW RCC
For the last 15 years, I have practiced as a social worker, therapist and yoga teacher in the areas of trauma, violence against women, mental health, and substance use. My work has included individual psychotherapy & counselling, group facilitation, mental health crisis response, and community outreach. At the core of my practice is the belief that safe relational connection is vital for recovery, healing and growth.
I hold both Bachelors (BSW) and Masters (MSW) degrees in Social Work and have completed advanced training in the areas of PTSD, relational/attachment trauma, somatic (body-based) therapy and psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy.
In addition to my psychotherapy practice, I have taught classes and facilitated trainings in trauma-sensitive yoga since 2013. I am an inspired student of permaculture, herbalism, and the cycles of nature and have completed training and ongoing practice in these areas. My vision of wellbeing includes psychological resilience, a strong sense of belonging, a reliable experience of embodiment, and a connection to the wisdom and healing of the natural world.
A bit more about me: I am of Irish & English ancestry, living as a settler on the traditional territory of the Snuneymuxw people with my partner, dog, cats, and chickens. I’m a movement and DIY enthusiast and introvert who loves growing my own food and medicine, moving around outside, and trying endlessly to simplify my life.
